The bus station is stop 1. In the morning it will take you to the bus station in 9 minutes (1\/3 of the walking time). It runs on time (sometimes a couple of minutes early !)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-263 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/138.68.91.141\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/phoca_thumb_l_holiday_express_1-e1485113974185-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Road Train<\/strong>, in the summer season (July+August) a small road train goes around the lake\/to the town, cost is \u20ac1 per trip, its a good way to see the lake if you dont like walking or its too hot, nearest stop is 100m from the apartment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-261 size-thumbnail\" src=\"http:\/\/138.68.91.141\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/novy_vlak_1.tasr_-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Trains to Bratislava<\/strong> run around every hour and take between 22-28 minutes depending on how often they stop. Single adult ticket is about\u00a0 \u20ac1.50, its not any cheaper get a return ticket. You can download the IDS BK app to your phone and buy tickets direct on your phone (in English), its also cheaper. From the app you need a 6 Zone ticket which lasts for 90 minutes so you can use the tram\/bus in the centre of Bratislava for up to 90 minutes from buying the ticket. You can check the train times at these sites:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cp.hnonline.sk\/vlakbusmhd\/spojenie\/\">http:\/\/cp.atlas.sk\/vlakbusmhd\/spojenie\/\u00a0<\/a> &lt; This site shows train delays in realtime<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slovakrail.sk\/en.html\">http:\/\/www.slovakrail.sk\/en.html<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">There is an English or German language button near the bottom of the screen<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">Enter <strong>Senec<\/strong> in the first box and <strong>Bratislava\u00a0hl.st.<\/strong> in the 2nd box, this is Bratislava main station (there are a few other outlying stations also called Bratislava something)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">The last train back in the evening is just after 11pm, the next one is 4.44am which is perfect timing if you&#8217;ve been to some clubs \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">Best to buy a ticket inside the station at Senec (you can buy the return ticket there as well, probably they will ask you), its always open when trains are running. You can buy a ticket on the train but there is a penalty of \u20ac1.50 per ticket if the ticket office was open at the time of travel.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">Children under 6 are free (no ID needed), children aged 6-15 are also free but you have to provide a passport and photo to get a train card (its too much effort unless you are staying along time). Child fare to Bratislava is around \u20ac0.80<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">Seniors from EU (including UK at the moment!) over 62 are also free but again too much effort unless you are staying a long time so unless you apply for a rail card the fare is the standard \u20ac1.50 each way<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;\">Stamp the ticket in the orange machine\u00a0by the platform<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bus to Central Bratislava<\/strong> will take around 30 minutes. Company is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.slovaklines.sk\/main-page.html\">Slovak Lines<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.slovaklines.sk\/main-page.html\">Slovak Lines<\/a>\u00a0Website<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Select REGIO at the top tab<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Senec ,aut.st<\/em> is the Bus station(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/place\/Autobusov%C3%A1+stanica,+Senec\/@48.221393,17.3943978,17.21z\/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x476c9c966ff2808f:0x40b14d1a2b586b1f!2sAutobusov%C3%A1+stanica,+Senec!8m2!3d48.2213881!4d17.3963872!3m4!1s0x476c9c966ff2808f:0x40b14d1a2b586b1f!8m2!3d48.2213881!4d17.3963872\">Senec Bus Station Location<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Senec, \u017eel.st.<\/em> is the train station by the apartment (there are several stops along the road by the train station so check on the display which is the correct stop to wait by<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>BA, AS<\/em> is the main bus station in Bratislava, its a 10 minute walk to oldtown from there<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Taxi to Central Bratislava\u00a0<\/strong>will take around 30 minutes and cost \u20ac25 upwards depending on where in Bratislava you are going<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taxi to Bratislava airport<\/strong> will take 20 minutes and cost around \u20ac25.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In the morning or evening weekday rush hours (7-10am and 4-6pm) allow an extra 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bolt taxi&#8217;s are usually available in Senec (use the BOLT mobile app), they are usually the cheapest option for longer distances (outside of Senec).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>To\/From Vienna\/Vienna Airport<\/strong> is easiest by Bus\/Coach with a change at Bratislava Bus station (&#8220;Bratislava AS&#8221;). Total travel time from the apartment to Vienna airport is around 2 hours allowing for bus connections\/traffic. There are multiple bus companies which can be booked online and support e-tickets (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flixbus.com\/\">Flixbus<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurolines.sk\/en.html\">Eurolines<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking in Senec<\/strong>, there is plenty of free parking or paid parking if you want to walk less (50 cents for 1 hour) in the town (you can download the ParkDots app or pay via SMS (if you have a Slovak phone)). The paid areas are all to the north of the pedestrian street (near the Cinema\/townhall) and also opposite Marathon resturant. Payment is only needed from 8am-6pm weekdays and only 8am-Noon on Saturday, Sunday is free.<\/p>\n<p>Parking at all the supermarkets is free, and parking on the road near the train station is also free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parking inside the lake near the buffets &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>This is \u20ac3 per day (ticket machine) but if you leave your lake pass in the car window the parking is free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The blue gate near the apartment is open 03:00 to 09:00 each day<\/strong> so if you get up early you can move your car to Lobsters car park (its free parking) and avoid driving round the lake later on.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free Bus around Senec town runs at regular intervals, it has &#8220;Mesto Senec&#8221; written across the side.
